Mailing lists
There are two email mailing lists that serve the NYC community.
The announce list is a strictly moderated on topic list devoted to event and deadline announcement directly related to Burning Man. There is no discussion. It has a small amount of traffic and has not been known to frighten anyone.
The discussion list does have guidelines, but polite conversations about nearly any subject are tolerated. If you've ever been on other loosely moderated discussion mailing lists, this is no different. It is a great place to get to know one another's ideas and opinions on any and every subject, hear about parties and other events and maybe even find an apartment or a job. It is not unusual to receive more than 50 messages in a single day. Please be sure to read the guidelines before joining.
